On June 22, 2007 Blake's Miracle and dancers enjoyed an evening with the Phoenix Mercury by performing during the Pre-Game Show and donating $38,000 raised during the 2nd Annual SWIMKID-A-THON. Funds support Banner Children's Hospital at Banner Desert Medical Center.

Phoenix Suns - Blake's Miracle Night

December 1, 2006 was Blake's Miracle night at the Phoenix Suns. Blake's Miracle children (swimmers & instructors from SWIMkids USA) performed for the pre-game show and hosted a 50/50 raffle to benefit terminally ill children at Banner Desert Children's Hospital.

Phoenix Mercury - Blake's Miracle Night

August 8, 2006, The Phoenix Mercury hosted Blake's Miracle Night at the US Airways Arena during a nationally televised game. SWIMkids USA sold tickets with a portion of the proceeds benefiting terminally ill children at Banner Children's Hospital. Blake's Miracle T-shirts and wrist bands sold at the arena also benefited these children. A 50/50 raffle was held and a pre-game show was performed by volunteers. SWIMkids USA also sold Blake's Miracle T-shirts and wrist bans. Our students, their families and SWIMkids USA staff enjoyed a night of fun as they supported our local WNBA team while raising money for terminally ill children.

Blake's Miracle - 1st Annual SWIMKID-A-THON - 2006

SWIMkids USA hosted the Blake's Miracle - 1st Annual SWIMKID-A-THON on April 8th 2006 to benefit Banner Desert's Children's Hospital.

Swimmers from ages 18 months to 11 years swim their big hearts out and raised $22,000 for the Banner Children's Hospital on April 8, 2006 for the 1st Annual SWIMKID-A-THON. Some of the older children (ages 8-11) swam as many as 350 lengths of the pool! The younger ones (ages 3-8) swam as many as 62 laps in one half hour! Our real little swimmers (ages 18 months-2 yrs) floated in the smaller pool for as long as 46 minutes! Pretty amazing, huh!

It is heartwarming and awesome to see children swimming for other children. Many of these students have never swam so far but because they wanted to help the terminally ill children they pushed themselves far beyond their expectations to raise more money for the hospital. At the completion of their swims each and every child was given a standing ovation on the award stage. The staff at SWIMkids USA is so very proud of the swimmers and their selfless efforts to help the hospitalized children!
